Ram 1500 vs. the Chevy Silverado 1500

The Chevy Silverado and Ram 1500 are both solid pickups with a variety of powertrain options. Both can tow a substantial amount and have plenty of loyal fans. But the Ram 1500 surpasses the Chevy Silverado with its 3.0-liter Hurricane inline six-cylinder engine with 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. That beats the Chevy Silverado's 5.3-liter V8 that gives you only 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.

What's more, the High-Output 3.0-liter Ram 1500 Hurricane inline-six turbo delivers an amazing 540 horsepower and 421 pound-feet of torque. The most the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 can offer is a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. So in terms of engine output, the Ram 1500 has a higher level of engine output for Rome, GA drivers than the Chevy Silverado in the larger engines.

Ram 1500 vs. the Ford F-150

The 2025 Ram 1500 replaces the HEMI® V-8s with a 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo V6, which generates an impressive output of 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. The Ford F-150 has a V8 that comes up short of Ram's V6, with only 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.

The Ram 1500 in our new Ram inventory has a maximum payload rating of 2,370 pounds when it's equipped with the standard V6 engine. The four-door Ford F-150 has a lower maximum payload rating of just 2,230 pounds, and that's only available with the V-8 engine.

The interior is where Rockmart, GA buyers will find the Ram 1500 shines even brighter. At the top-tier Ram 1500 Tungsten trim, you can get 24-way power adjustable front seats with a massaging function and a 14.4-inch touch screen display. Ram 1500 vs. the Toyota Tundra

Our comparison moves to the Toyota Tundra, to see how the Ram 1500's standard V6 engine stacks up against the Tundra's standard V6. The Ram 1500 operates with a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 that develops 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. That's more than the Tundra's i-FORCE® 3.4-liter V6 that generates only 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. In addition, the Ram 1500 with its V6 engine delivers 2360 pounds of maximum payload compared with only 1940 pounds in the comparable Toyota Tundra with a V6 engine.
